The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy Capital Works division delivering long-term planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across Gloucestershire.Working on established local authority contracts, the successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes, decarbonisation projects, external works and wider refurbishment schemes within occupied residential properties.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, working closely with both operational and commercial teams, giving genuine influence over project delivery from pre-contract through to final account.The successful candidate can be based in either Bristol, or Cheltenahm, whichever is more commutable. The RoleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Preparing estimates, tenders and cost plans for planned works and refurbishment projects.Measuring works on site and producing accurate valuations.Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout project lifecycles.Producing budget cost value reconciliations and supporting contract planning.Working closely with Contracts Managers to ensure commercial and operational objectives are achieved.Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and change control processes.Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and site teams.Monitoring project costs, labour performance and ..... full job details .....
