      <description>Location: Wakefield | Salary: 400.00-400.00 Daily | Type: Temporary | Freelance Quantity Surveyor Design and Build Water Infrastructure  We''re looking for an experienced freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a contractor delivering projects across the Yorkshire Water framework. This is NEC Option A Design and Build, so we need someone commercially sharp. You''ll need to understand the contract, recognise risk early and protect margin, not simply administer the paperwork. The Role   Commercial management of NEC4 Option A projects   Management of DandB commercial and contractual risk   Compensation events from notification through to agreement   Cost forecasting, CVRs and project reporting   Subcontract procurement and account management   Applications, valuations and cash management   Management of Early Warnings and contractual notices   Assessing design development and its commercial impact   Maintaining strong contemporary records   Challenging programme and cost assumptions   Identifying commercial opportunities and protecting entitlement   Working closely with Project Managers, Planners, Design and Delivery teams   Supporting projects through to final account   You''ll Need   Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience   Good understanding of Option A / priced...</description>
