Aureos are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work in growing team in Howden.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Working within Aureos Highways Business Unit, and forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Your role will require you to:Input into the application and credit control processesUnderstanding of income forecast and pricing of scope changesUnderstanding of the change control systemUnderstanding of project riskUnderstanding of the production of CVRsUnderstanding of CTCUnderstanding the production of forecasting dataUnderstanding the costing processUnderstanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentationAssisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirementsReview weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.Attend project progress meetings.Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reportsGain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.Secondary tasks and dutiesWe operate a team ethos across the Aureos Business Unit and strive to assist colleagues in the execution of their duties where this is appropriate and brings added value. The Quantity Surveyor is expected to:Contribute to the timely achievement of forecast figures for turnover, profit and incomeContribute to timely production of accurate internal accounts and internal/external reports/auditsContribute to timely production of accurate cost and forecasting informationContribute to change control systemContribute to prompt placement and payment of sub-contracts.
