The role involves managing the commercial and financial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and compliance with contractual obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and teams to develop and implement commercial strategies, manage cashflow, and mitigate commercial risks. Responsibilities include preparing accurate cost forecasts, maintaining contract cost reporting systems, and liaising with clients and third parties on commercial matters. The role also involves supporting procurement activities, including subcontract documentation and negotiations, and ensuring subcontractor accounts are managed in line with contract terms. Experience with Power BI and the ability to create relational data models will be advantageous. A sound understanding of construction and contract law is required, alongside excellent report writing skills.
