I''m currently working with an established infrastructure contractor who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
The business delivers a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including major rail schemes, providing the opportunity to work across a varied and commercially challenging project portfolio.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you''ll take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs and commercial performance
- Cost forecasting, reporting and final accounts
- Managing contractual and commercial obligations
- Procurement and subcontract management
- Identifying commercial opportunities and managing risk
- Managing variations and change
- Working closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain
- Supporting the delivery of projects safely, efficiently and commercially
About You
We''re looking for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with experience within rail, civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.
You''ll ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a Quantity Surveying role
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
- Good understanding of project costs, forecasting and reporting
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and commercially driven approach
