Quantity Surveyor

My Client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen oversight of their responsive repairs contract with a major contractor. The role will require working 1 day per week in the office in SLondon and 4 days working from home. The rate of pay is 350pd to 400pdThis role has arisen due to concerns around cost control and contract compliance, particularly relating to variations and work order management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring value for money and robust commercial governance.Responsibilities:Review and audit responsive repair work orders submitted by the contractorIdentify and challenge potential overcharging or ''job building'' practicesValidate and assess variations against agreed contractual limitsInvestigate the high volume of self-approved variationsProvide clear justification, reporting, and recommendations on flagged worksWork closely with internal stakeholders to strengthen commercial controls and processesRequirements:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or repairs and maintenance contractsStrong knowledge of responsive repairs and schedule of rates contractsTrack record of commercial auditing, cost validation, and contractor challengeConfident in managing contractor relationships and driving accountabilityStrong analytical skills with attention to ..... full job details .....
