Quality Technician

Quality Support Technician Department: QualityReporting to: QHSE ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Quality Support Technician to join our Quality team.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out first-off, patrol, and final inspections of engineered components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, technical drawings, and AS9100 requirements.Key Responsibilities Perform first-off, patrol, and final inspections of machined components.Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and support Inspection Test Plans.Operate and programme CMM equipment.Review production documentation and verify compliance with drawing requirements.Raise and investigate non-conformances, supporting corrective actions.Support production teams in resolving quality issues.Provide calibration support and contribute to continuous improvement activities. Requirements Experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GDandT.Competent using handheld measuring equipment and CMM machines.Understanding of non-conformance processes and quality documentation.Aerospace and/or nuclear industry experience desirable.Apprentice trained with City and Guilds or equivalent qualification.Experience with FAIR software and CMM programming (Aberlink, QCT, or Mitutoyo preferred).
