Quality Technician

Quality / FAIRS Technician Location: Newport (On-Site) Contract: Fixed-Term (9 months) Sector: Aerospace / Electronics Manufacturing An established electronics manufacturing organisation supporting aerospace and high-reliability sectors is seeking a FAIRS Technician to join its Quality team on a fixed-term basis. This role focuses on the creation and verification of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure product compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure products meet AS9100 traceability requirements, regulatory standards and documented quality processes before release. This position requires a detail-oriented quality professional with strong technical drawing interpretation skills and experience working within aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities First Article Inspection Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with the latest revision Produce Forms 1, 2 and 3 independently Use customer data packs, engineering drawings and ERP systems to complete reports Ensure documentation complies with aerospace and customer standards Documentation and Compliance Interpret PCB and mechanical drawings Verify ballooned drawing notes using appropriate verification methods Record inspection results and control methods used Ensure compliance with AS9100 traceability requirements ..... full job details .....
