Quality Technician

Our client based in Elsham, Brigg is a well-established business that provides packaging solutions into the healthcare sector. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Technician to join their team as soon as possible!
This is a permanent opportunity, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 2 days, followed by 2 nights (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am), with average weekly contractual hours of 42 per week.
The basic annual salary for the role is -29,331 per annum, with the opportunity for overtime at enhanced rates. The company also offers a quarterly Gainshare scheme, up to 5%.
The purpose of the role is to provide support to the factory Quality System as directed by the Quality Manager.
Duties will include:
* Carry out internal Quality audits of the quality systems including product, 5''s, hygiene, glass and Insects audits
* Supervise quality records and retained samples
* Organize materials in quarantine, maintain records, and notify relevant personnel
* Control of positive release
* Carry out material analysis for product development and corrective action investigations
* Perform product inspection / testing for.
- Materials in Quarantine
- New materials / development
- Others as directed
And report results to Quality and Technical Manager
* Input non - conforming material information on to the computer for reporting purposes
* QA Administration work as assigned
* Other projects as assigned including WCM
* General weekend, sickness absence and holiday cover as and when required
* Assist in all Quality Areas Cross - Functional
* Any other tasks commensurate with the role
