Quality Team Leader

Job Title: Interim Inspection Team Leader (Maternity Cover)
Location: Brough
Reporting to: Quality and Environmental Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Inspection Team Leader to provide essential leadership during a period of maternity leave. This is a vital role in maintaining operational continuity, upholding inspection standards, and ensuring the team continues to perform efficiently. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the inspection team, working closely with cross-functional teams to support production targets and drive quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the Inspection team on a daily basis
- Manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and align with wider production schedules
- Monitor time and attendance, approve holidays, and ensure effective staffing
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Maintain quality standards and compliance with internal procedures
- Attend planning and coordination meetings as required
- Motivate and guide the team through the interim period
- Identify and implement short-term process improvements
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven leadership experience, ideally within inspection or quality control
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail with accurate documentation skills
- Proficient in IT and fluent in written and spoken English
Desirable:
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Previous experience in interim or maternity cover roles
