  • Reject Quality Gates and require mandatory rectification work whenever quality standards are not met or risks remain unmitigated. -

  • Create and implement project-specific Quality Management Plans, Customer Quality Assurance Plans, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).- -

  • Evaluate proposals and clarify quality requirements during early sales and pre-handover project stages.- -

  • Establish, monitor, and report project quality objectives and Key Performance Indicators to track operational health. -

  • Facilitate investigations into non-conformances, define Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and follow up to ensure closeout.- -

  • Manage risk mitigation strategies to reduce overall Gross Non-Conformance Costs (NCCs). -

  • Apply historical lessons learned and process deviation plans to prevent repeat failures across project fleets.-

  • Coach Project Managers and core team members to embed and sustain a proactive, customer-focused quality culture.-

  • Manage, participate in, and provide documentation for internal, customer, and external audits.

  • Identify operational areas for continuous improvement and ensure functional experts are consulted on complex technical risks.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience evaluating and approving project Quality Gates, with the confidence and authority to pause work ("Quality Stop Work") when significant risks arise.-

  • Strong practical knowledge of QMS implementation, process control frameworks, and quality standards tailored to project requirements.

  • Hands-on experience facilitating structured root-cause analysis (e.g., CAPA) and implementing robust corrective actions.-

  • Demonstrated ability to manage non-conformance workflows, mitigate operational risks, and drive down Non-Conformance Costs (NCCs).

  • Expertise in drafting and executing project quality deliverables, including Quality Management Plans, Customer Quality Assurance Plans, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).-

  • Ability to evaluate proposal quality requirements, process deviation plans, and contract terms during early sales stages.-

  • Experience supporting or participating in internal, regional, and customer-mandated audits.-

  • Strong leadership skills to act as a change agent, fostering a proactive, customer-focused quality culture across cross-functional project teams.-

  • Ability to coach and mentor Project Managers and team members on quality standards without direct line-management authority.-

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience applying project quality management specifically within power generation, energy transmission, renewables, heavy engineering, or complex industrial infrastructure environments.-

  • Prior quality leadership experience in other heavily regulated industries with strict compliance standards (e.g., Oil & Gas, Subsea, Aerospace, Defense).-

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification with practical experience applying advanced continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, DMAIC).-

  • Certified Lead or Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 (or related industry-specific standards).

  • Active membership or professional registration with recognized quality or engineering bodies (e.g., CQI/IRCA, CIPS, IET, or IMechE).

  • Working knowledge of structured project management methodologies (such as (email address removed) or PMI/PRINCE2 guidelines) and formal Quality Gate governance frameworks.

  • Practical experience implementing or leveraging digital quality management systems, automated CAPA tracking, or data-driven dashboards to improve defect transparency and reporting.-
