Location: Letchworth
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 16:30 & Friday 8:00 - 13:30
Basis: Permanent 
Salary: £50 - 60K
  
Our well-established client within the electronics manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a pivotal position responsible for leading the company''s quality and compliance function. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and developing management systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the business through internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities as a Quality Manager:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of integrated management systems, in alignment with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits across the business.
  • Carry out gap analyses and compliance reviews against relevant standards and regulations.
  • Manage and maintain all quality assurance processes in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Prepare for, coordinate, and support external certification and surveillance audits.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Maintain risk registers, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Work closely with departments across the business to embed quality and compliance into everyday operations.
  • Deliver and support employee training initiatives, particularly around information security and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, certification bodies, customers, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
  The successful candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager, Compliance Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more of the following standards: AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001.
  • Experience leading accreditation, certification, or compliance projects.
  • Previous experience preparing organisations for external audits and managing audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organisational, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and influence colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quality, Compliance, Risk Management, or Information Security, such as CQI, Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, or CISMP.
  • Experience within aerospace, defence, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries would be highly advantageous.
