Quality Manager / Lead InspectorLocation: Poole, DorsetSalary: 40,000 - 45,000 (DOE)Type: Permanent, Full-timeA well-established precision engineering business is looking for an experienced Quality Manager / Lead Inspector to take ownership of its quality function, supporting customers across the Aerospace, Defence and Nuclear sectors.This is a hands-on leadership role, managing the Quality function while remaining involved in inspection, metrology and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the Quality teamMaintain and improve AS9100 / ISO9001 systemsManage internal, customer and supplier auditsHandle NCRs, concessions, 8D reports and root cause investigationsCarry out dimensional inspection and CMM programmingLead FAI activities and maintain quality documentationManage calibration and supplier qualityDrive continuous improvement and promote a strong quality cultureRequirementsPrevious Quality experience within precision engineering/manufacturingStrong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001Experience within Aerospace, Defence or Nuclear desirableAbility to read engineering drawings and understand tolerancesStrong metrology/CMM experienceExperience with NCRs, 8D and root cause analysisPrevious leadership or team-leading experienceDesirable: AS9102 knowledge, machining/welding experience, ERP/MRP experience and internal auditor training. ..... full job details .....
