Quality Manager

Exceptional opportunity to join this successful and expanding sub contract precision engineering company heading up their quality and Health and safety.

The company produces various parts for a range of demanding industries including aerospace and defence and works with an AS9100 quality system.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards.
• Lead all aspects of quality assurance and compliance systems, ensuring continued alignment with customer specifications.
• Oversee health and safety management programmes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a culture of safety within the workplace.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure systems are adhered to and improvements are implemented as necessary.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure team adherence to precision engineering processes.
• Provide leadership and training to team members on QHSE best practices and policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machining, planning, and sales, to drive quality and process improvements.
• Manage, mentor, and support the Inspection team, promoting accountability and performance enhancement.

Requirements

• Experience in Quality management within a precision engineering environment.
• In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and Quality Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety management principles and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
