Full-time role in Milan

Are you a Quality Manager or Quality Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, groundworks or concrete, with experience writing ITPs and managing quality across construction projects?

This company is a specialist civils and groundworks contractor delivering concrete, rebar and structural works for clients across the power, industrial, commercial and residential sectors.

Due to continued growth in the UK and rapid expansion into Europe, including projects in Italy and Portugal, they are now looking to strengthen their Quality team.

In this role, you will take responsibility for supporting and maintaining quality standards across major civils and groundworks projects in the UK and Europe. A key part of the position will be developing and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring project works are inspected, tested and documented in line with client requirements, specifications and relevant standards.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and site teams to identify quality requirements, complete inspections, manage non-conformances and ensure works are delivered to the required standard. The role offers structured training and clear progression as the company continues to expand across Europe.

You will have the right to live and work in Italy without requiring visa sponsorship. The company will provide accommodation in Milan and a company vehicle for the duration of the role, while European travel will be fully expensed.

This role would suit a Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, QA/QC Engineer or Quality Advisor from a civils, groundworks or construction background who has experience with ITPs, inspections and quality documentation and is looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership of quality across European projects.

The Role:

• Develop, implement and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for civils and groundworks projects
• Ensure project activities are inspected and tested against drawings, specifications, standards and client requirements
• Carry out site quality inspections across concrete, rebar, groundworks and structural works
• Work closely with site teams, engineers, project managers and subcontractors to maintain quality standards
• Review construction documentation, specifications and quality requirements
• Identify, record and manage non-conformances, corrective actions and quality issues
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports and project documentation
• Support internal and external quality audits

The Person:

• Experience within civil engineering, groundworks, concrete, rebar or construction
• Previous experience in a Quality, QA/QC or Quality Management position
• Experience writing and managing ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans)
• EU Citizen with the right to live and work in Italy without visa sponsorship
