Quality Manager

Job title: Quality ManagerLocation: Glasgow

An ambitious and fast-growing organisation within the space sector is seeking a Quality Manager to establish and lead its Quality function in Glasgow.

This is a critical hire for someone who can demonstrate proven experience building and scaling an embryonic Quality function within a highly regulated, precision engineering environment.

• Establish and develop the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Build and grow the Quality team alongside business expansion.

• Implement robust QC processes (incoming, in-process, and final inspection).

• Oversee NDT activities and inspection standards.

• Lead structured root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA) and drive effective CAPA.

• Manage audits, compliance, and supplier quality assurance.

• Embed a proactive, right-first-time quality culture across engineering and production.

• Proven track record of developing or transforming an early-stage Quality function.

• Strong background in QC methodologies and inspection techniques.

• Experience overseeing NDT processes.

• Demonstrable root cause analysis capability with measurable outcomes.

• Experience within space, aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated advanced manufacturing sectors.

• Strong working knowledge of ISO-compliant QMS (e.g. ISO 9001 / AS9100).
