Quality Lead

Quality Lead | Manufacturing | East Ayrshire

NT Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be recruiting for our client's next Quality Lead.

Our client is a well established manufacturer with multiple sites across Scotland, producing branded goods that are shipped to over 100 countries worldwide.

They're looking for a Quality Lead to take ownership of day to day Quality Operations.  This would suit someone currently at Quality Supervisor, Coordinator or Senior Quality Technician level looking to take the next step up in their career, a great opportunity for someone ready to step up into their first Quality leadership role.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensuring the quality function supports production, supply and NPD, so product is consistently manufactured and despatched to customers
• Owning End of Line and NPD QA checks, from monitoring through to action
• Managing quality issues across raw materials, dry goods, finished product and customer concerns, from identification through to corrective and preventive action
• Setting and maintaining quality standards for raw materials, dry goods and finished product, and making sure operators and Team Leaders are trained and competent
• Providing cover for the Quality and Process Capability Team Leader and wider QA team

What they're looking for:

• Proven experience managing supplier quality performance and building strong supplier relationships
• A track record investigating quality incidents and driving CAPA through to effective closure
• Experience working cross functionally with NPD, Engineering, Production, Procurement and Supply Chain
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, comfortable influencing at all levels
• Equally at home on the shopfloor and presenting to senior management
• Confident with Microsoft Office
