Quality Inspector

We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join an established manufacturing business based in Standish, Wigan. This is a hands on role within a busy Engineering and Manufacturing environment, where accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are essential. You will be responsible for inspecting components at different stages of manufacture, using a range of precision inspection tools and measuring equipment to ensure products meet the required standards. Working closely with Production and reporting to the Quality Manager, you will help identify quality issues, maintain accurate records and support the quality process from goods inwards through to final inspection. The role would suit someone with previous experience in component inspection who is confident working with engineering drawings, tolerances and technical specifications, and enjoys a practical shop floor environment. Salary: 30,000 to 35,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Hours: 38 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to 11:30. Quality Inspector Key Responsibilities: Carry out dimensional and visual inspections at different stages of manufacture, including goods inwards, in process and final inspection. Use a range of precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, gauges and other mechanical measuring tools.
