Job DescriptionWorking within the Final Inspection department, you will play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, to specification and to the highest possible quality standards. You will work closely with both Quality Assurance and Production teams, carrying out detailed inspections and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
This position would suit someone with previous quality inspection experience who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing accurate results and is committed to maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Carry out final inspection of finished products, including visual and dimensional inspections
  • Support quality objectives by working closely with QA and production teams
  • Assist with in-process inspections when manufacturing issues arise
  • Communicate quality concerns, non-conformances and concessions to relevant teams
  • Identify, record and report defects and failure modes
  • Generate quality documentation and inspection reports, including AS9102 First Article Inspection reports where required
  • Accurately maintain inspection records and quality documentation
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve quality and reduce waste
About You
  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or within a similar quality-focused manufacturing role
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
  • Experience carrying out visual inspections and identifying cosmetic defects
  • Confident using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to maintain high standards whilst working under pressure
Desirable Experience
  • Experience generating AS9102 First Article Inspection reports
  • Manufacturing, engineering or electronics industry experience
  • Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Visual FAIRs software or Optical CMM systems
Essential Requirements
  • GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade C/4 or above
  • Ability to work weekly rotating shift patterns
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer-focused approach with a positive, can-do attitude
