About the Role

The Quality Inspector position in Dudley requires an experienced professional to join a busy automotive manufacturer. This full-time, temporary role offers £14 per hour with working hours from 7am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Key responsibilities include conducting visual inspections of manufactured components, using callipers, micrometres and gauges to verify product specifications, and performing first-off, in-process and final quality checks. The role demands a keen eye for detail and previous inspection experience within a manufacturing or automotive setting. Candidates must identify and report defects, record inspection results, and ensure non-conforming parts are documented properly.

We are recruiting for an experienced quality inspector to join our client in the Dudley area, the client are a busy automotive manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and previous experience carrying out quality inspections within a manufacturing or automotive setting.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out visual inspections of manufactured components.
  • Using callipers, micrometres, gauges, and other measuring equipment to ensure products meet specification.
  • Conducting first-off, in-process, and final quality inspections.
  • Identifying and reporting defects or non-conforming parts.
  • Recording inspection results accurately and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Working closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with customer specifications and company quality procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Confident using callipers, micrometres, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong visual inspection skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining high quality standards.
