Quality Inspector

Futures Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of precision metal components in the Leeds area who is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector.This is a hands-on quality position within a busy manufacturing environment, with the successful candidate responsible for carrying out in-process and final inspection of manufactured metal components, ensuring products consistently meet drawing, dimensional and customer requirements.A key requirement for this position is previous experience programming and operating CMM equipment, alongside a good working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.The Role Carry out in-process inspection of manufactured metal components throughout production.Perform first-off, patrol and final inspection of components against engineering drawings and specifications.Program and operate CMM equipment to carry out accurate dimensional inspection.Use a range of manual measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and other inspection equipment.Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and component specifications.Identify and report dimensional or quality non-conformances.Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and prevent the manufacture of non-conforming components.Complete and maintain accurate inspection and quality records.Support investigations into internal and customer quality concerns where required.Assist with calibration and control of inspection ..... full job details .....
