Quality Inspector

Our client is seeking Quality Inspectors to join its Quality department on a contract basis in Banbury . Two opportunities are available: a Manual Inspection and Non-Conformance-focused role, and a CMM Programmer role where PC-DMIS experience is essential. The positions will support goods receiving inspection, in-house component inspection and the management of non-conforming materials within a fast-paced engineering environment.

• Inspect received goods and manufactured components against engineering drawings, specifications and incoming inspection standards
• Carry out manual inspection using hand tools, gauges and digital measurement equipment
• Programme and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS for the CMM-focused position
• Record inspection results and communicate findings with relevant internal stakeholders
• Identify, quarantine, label and manage non-conforming parts
• Prepare detailed non-conformance reports and support containment and stock-sweep activities
• Complete and upload ISIR documentation using the Jira ticketing system
• Maintain inspection equipment, fixtures and gauges, including arranging calibration when required

• Experience in quality inspection or metrology within an automotive, motorsport or similarly fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of manual inspection, measurement instruments and appropriate gauge selection
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Understanding of metrology, measurement techniques, capability studies and Gauge R&R
• Awareness of ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards, including IATF 16949 and AS9100
• Understanding of risk assessments and their application within inspection and manufacturing processes
• PC-DMIS programming and CMM inspection experience for the CMM-focused position; manual inspection experience is suitable for the non-conformance-focused position

• Based at a manufacturing facility in Banbury.
