Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking for your next career move?

Our client is a long-established precision engineering business based in Leighton Buzzard, specialising in the manufacture of low-volume, high-quality components for industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defence.

Due to an upcoming retirement, they are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Quality Inspector / Chief Inspector to work closely with their Quality Manager.

The successful Quality Inspector will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, shaping our quality strategy and ensuring the highest precision standards across all areas of the business.

What you''ll be doing - Quality Inspector

• Carrying out visual & dimensional inspections to tight tolerances using tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, callipers & height gauges

• Leading first-offs, last-offs, patrol, incoming & final inspections in line with customer and industry requirements

• Investigating & reporting non-conformances, raising concessions & producing First Article Inspection Reports (training provided if needed)

What we''re looking for

• Proven experience in a precision engineering / metal machining environment

• Strong knowledge of inspection processes, reporting & CMM utilisation

• Ability to interpret technical drawings & work to exacting precision tolerances in both metric & imperial units

• Excellent communication, attention to detail & a hands-on, team-focused approach

• Experience within an AS9100 (or equivalent) quality system is highly desirable

What''s on offer

• Salary: -33,000 - -40,000 per annum (DOE)

• Permanent, full-time role: Monday - Thursday 8:00-17:00, Friday 8:00-14:30
