Our Client are a part of a large manufacturer specialising in precision CNC machining of running gear for the world''s military vehicles and the supply of solid compound wheels.
Applicants should be suitably qualified individuals with experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance Techniques.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation.
- Skilled in Microsoft applications, quality control techniques, company reporting processes, and equipment use.
Role Purpose
- Inspection of components to the drawing specifications.
- Conduct finished goods inspection and component sample audits.
- Conduct shop floor audits and drive continuous improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Performing First Off and Periodic Inspection to ensure compliance to drawing specification.
- Writing detailed reports on the results of testing and other observations regarding product status.
- Assist in Toolbox Talks on discussions relating to Quality so that employees become aware of any defects in the product or service and how to eliminate the possibility of recurrence.
- Communicating with suppliers and distributors on quality issues.
- Complying with standards of safety, company policy, and legal regulations that apply to the product.
- Undertake Internal Quality Audits
- Initiate comprehensive documentation for reported quality issues and record the corrective actions taken.
- Reading engineering schematics and comparing them with the finished product.
Skills desired
- CMM Programmer
- ISO 9001 internal auditor.
- Can use various measuring equipment such as callipers, vernier, micrometers.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
