Quality Inspector

Contek Recruitment Solutions are representing a long-established precision engineering manufacturer based in the Great Barr area of Birmingham, who are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector following the upcoming retirement of a long-serving member of the team. Working within an experienced Quality Department, you will support the Technical and Quality Manager in ensuring all manufactured and purchased components meet the company''s exacting standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspection activities throughout the manufacturing process, including first-off, in-process, final and goods-in inspection, while working closely with production to maintain quality and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision engineered components. Perform goods-in inspection of purchased parts and materials. Inspect components using a variety of manual measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges and thread gauges. Conduct hardness testing using Vickers and Rockwell equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Complete inspection documentation accurately.
