We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in a permanent role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in precision engineering inspection, who is confident using both handheld measuring tools and CMM machines. The position is based in Chorley.
Quality Inspector (CMM) Job Overview
- Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection of machined components
- Interpreting and inspecting parts against engineering drawings and specifications
- Using handheld inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
- Operating and programming CMM machines (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
- Accurately recording inspection results and reporting non-conformances
- Supporting continuous improvement and quality control processes
Quality Inspector (CMM) Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and tolerances
- Skilled in using manual measuring equipment and CMM operation/programming
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
