Quality Inspector

Adeptus is recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our clients Quality Control team of an established manufacturer of precision machined components, primarily supplying the Aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Inspector with a strong background in precision engineering who is looking to join a quality-focused manufacturing environment.  

Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts (Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm | Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm  

The Role:  

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring precision machined components meet customer drawings, specifications and quality requirements at all stages of production.  

Your key responsibilities will include:  

• Carrying out dimensional and visual inspection of components at first-off and final inspection.
• Performing product inspection and verification of certification at goods inwards.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation associated with inspection activities.
• Completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
• Operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
• Interpreting customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing route cards and process instructions.
• Verifying component dimensions, tolerances and product conformity.
• Using a wide range of precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Working effectively both independently and as part of the wider Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and traceability.
