Salary: -21.00 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am to 1:00pm
Flexible working available where operationally possible

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Quality Inspector to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer.
Working within a high-quality manufacturing environment, you will take ownership of quality control activities from incoming goods inspection through to final inspection, ensuring products consistently meet customer and industry standards.
This is a hands-on role that would suit an individual with a strong engineering background, excellent inspection skills, and experience working within an ISO 9001 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and approve incoming materials and subcontract returns.-
- Carry out in-process inspection and validate first-off measurements.-
- Maintain, calibrate and control measuring instruments and inspection equipment.-
- Record and document inspection results using internal quality systems.
- Raise, investigate and manage NCRs, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Produce and present quality KPI reports.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality matters.-
- Support internal and supplier audits where required.
- Assist in maintaining and developing ISO 9001 quality standards.-
- Promote continuous improvement throughout the business.-
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Inspector position within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
- A mechanical engineering background.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using a wide range of measuring and inspection equipment.
- Experience operating programmable CMM equipment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience dealing with NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
