Quality Inspector

An exciting Quality Inspector position has become available in Atherton, Manchester at a precision engineering company. Job Title: Quality Inspector Shifts: 39 hour working week. Monday to Thursday: 06:45 to 15:15 Friday: 06:45 to 14:15 Holiday Entitlement: 25 Days Annual leave + Bank holidays Rate: £20.32 per hour Job Role: Performing Goods Inwards, Pre-Paint and Final Inspections. Measuring parts in accordance with engineering drawings using various types of measuring equipment, including external micrometers, 3-legged bore micrometers, stick micrometers, depth micrometers, verniers and gauges. Completing dimensional reports / inspection drawings. Visually inspection of parts for weld spatter, damage, burrs, paint quality, part marking etc. Completing inspection sign off documentation. Stamping parts. Carrying out stencilling and paint touch ups as required. Tapping threaded holes as required. Packing as required. Assembling parts as required. Requirements: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and test equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
