Role : Mechanical Engineering Quality Inspector Salary : Dependant on skill and experience Location : Abingdon, Oxfordshire Hours : 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm, Friday 8.00am-1.00pm. Overtime often available. Duration : Permanent Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Quality Inspector: Inspect, confirm and authorise incoming materials and returns from outsourced suppliers. Approve in-process production and validate first-off measurements. Maintain and calibrate metrology gauges and equipment in line with ISO 9001 requirements. Document all inspection results on the company''s internal systems. Raise and investigate NCRs, implementing corrective and preventative measures. Present KPI statistics for monthly review. Liaise with customers and suppliers, including conducting audits where required. Maintain ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to production. Support the production team in striving for 100% quality.
