Quality Improvement Engineer Leeds Medical Devices

About the job This is a hands-on, shop-floor focused role within the internal Quality Operations function, with real scope to improve processes, strengthen quality performance and drive continuous improvement across the site. Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, you''ll take a proactive lead in identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies, reducing defects and improving process capability. You''ll use data, structured problem-solving and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to deliver sustainable improvements across both product and process. The role will also support the wider quality operation, including internal auditing, inspection and batch release activities, quality initiatives and the ongoing development of the site''s quality systems and processes. Key responsibilities include: Leading root-cause investigations using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys and other structured CI methodologies Taking a proactive lead in identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies across the site Driving improvements to reduce defects, scrap, rework and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Analysing manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement Preparing and presenting data and improvement findings to relevant stakeholders Developing a ..... full job details .....
