Quality Improvement and Regulation Manager

Barchester Healthcare is looking for a Quality Improvement and Regulation Manager to support their mission of delivering good and outstanding services across their care homes and hospitals. The role involves conducting Quality Improvement Reviews, writing reports, creating action plans, providing assurance to the Board and Executive Team, coaching and mentoring General Managers and Hospital Directors, and leading key quality improvement projects.Main duties of the job

The Quality Improvement and Regulation Manager will be responsible for conducting Quality Improvement Reviews across a portfolio of services, using data and intelligence to identify risks and opportunities. They will write reports and create action plans to support services in meeting regulatory requirements, provide assurance to the Board and Executive Team on quality and compliance, and coach and mentor General Managers and Hospital Directors through support visits to help them deliver their improvement plans. The role also involves covering the Regulation Duty Desk, handling incoming regulatory correspondence and ensuring timely, effective responses, as well as staying up to date with regulations, standards, and best practice guidance and sharing learning across the organisation. The manager will also lead and deliver key quality improvement projects, including resources, workshops, and policies.About us

Background in health or social care regulation, quality improvement, or inspection frameworks (essential). Strong analytical and audit skills able to review evidence and assess against required standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in report writing and influencing. A self-starter who can work independently, manage a varied workload, and support colleagues across different regions. Full driving licence and willingness to travel weekly with some overnight stays.Registered healthcare or social care professional. Qualifications

A background in health or social care regulation, quality improvement, or inspection frameworks is essential. Strong analytical and audit skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and manage a varied workload are also required.
