Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Salary: £36,000 £42,000 39 hours per week Monday Thursday: 08 30 Friday: 08 00 The Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team and support quality, NPI and continuous improvement activities within our machine shop. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of APQP, FMEA and Control Plans. Knowledge of SPC and MSA is desirable, while experience with CMM programming, preferably using PC-DMIS, and GDandT would be advantageous. This is a hands-on role working closely with manufacturing, production and customers to ensure consistently high standards of quality. Internal training is provided for CMM programming and GDandT. Key Responsibilities Support APQP and NPI activities within the machine shop. Generate PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements during NPI. Support customer 8D and CAR activities, working with customers and manufacturing teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence. Review and analyse daily scrap data and update quality metric display boards and QOS reports. Support and oversee internal and external calibration processes. Develop in-house calibration procedures to reduce reliance on external calibration laboratories. Conduct internal process audits and daily process compliance inspections.
