Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerSalary is 36,000 to 38,000 per annum - based in Gillingham, Kent. Days role working Mon to Fri (early finish on Fri) - Benefits include 33 days holiday, Pension, Onsite parking, employee welfare scheme. Permanent position. Our client are a well established, family run engineering company and due to ongoing success they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join them, based at their Gillingham site in Kent. Reporting to the Operations Manager this is a new role within their organisation - this is a stand alone role but will involve working with Inspectors and other shop floor staff. Duties of the Quality Engineer will involve:Developing and maintaining quality proceduresDriving continuous improvement strategiesConducting audits to ensure complianceGoods-In inspectionLiaising with Sales team to resolve customer issuesImplementing corrective and preventative actionsMaintaining accurate quality recordsEnsuring calibration of quality control equipmentCarrying out internal audits, ensuring procedures meet both internal and external standardsReviewing and approving documentation related to manufacturing and packaging (SOPs and RAs)Ongoing development of the QMS in line with continuous improvement programmeWorking closeley with other departments to drive a quality and continuous improvement cultureLeading and supporting customer and regulatory audits (including BS audits) The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:HND or similar in an ..... full job details .....
