Quality Engineer

Shorterm Group is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established engineering company based in South Oxfordshire.

Key Skills:

- A minimum of five years'' recent experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-related role
- Ability to train employees in quality-related subjects
- Strong ability to interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings and determine appropriate measuring techniques
- Good knowledge of CMM programming (PC-DMIS ideally)

Responsibilities:

- Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related issues
- Training operators in all aspects of inspection techniques and equipment
- Recommending and implementing improvements to inspection and quality processes and equipment where appropriate
- Producing routine final inspection trend analysis and reports
- Managing non-conformances and customer complaints using 8D and 5 Whys methodologies

Job Details:

- Permanent position
- Standard day shift hours
- Salary: -45,000 - -50,000 per annum
