Quality Engineer (SFIA 5) Contract Duration: 6 months Rate: £460 per day Inside IR35 Location: At least 2x per month in Telford Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the CoreMod Programme, a major transformation initiative focused on modernising HMRC''s tax administration systems. You will work within agile Scrum teams of 4-8 engineers, delivering high-quality solutions through two-week sprint cycles across a diverse and modern technology landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused engineer who is passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Technology Stack Frontend Remix React JavaScript Backend Java Spring Framework .NET Data MongoDB Oracle Tools and Integration RabbitMQ JSON Key Responsibilities Design, build and implement automated testing solutions from the ground up. Develop and execute test strategies using TDD, BDD and risk-based testing approaches. Champion shift-left testing practices and support CI/CD pipeline integration. Coach and mentor development teams on Quality Engineering best practices. Perform testing across all levels, including: Unit Testing System Testing Integration Testing Non-Functional Testing Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective test approaches.
