Quality Engineer

Pro-Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of our client based in Gloucester.-

The position is full time, permanent.-

Salary: -45,000.

Working hours:-Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:00-and Friday 07:30-13:00.-

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal and external audits to industry standards.
• Partner with Engineering and Production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Support New Product Introduction using APQP frameworks to identify risks and establish robust inspection methods.
• Coordinate and approve PPAP packages, including initial sample inspections and run-at-rate validations.
• Develop, review, and maintain DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyse quality data using SPC to monitor process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate recurring defects.
• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D methodologies and Lean tools to prevent repeat issues.

Experience

• Proven experience conducting internal and external (supplier) audits.
• Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards-(essential).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.-
• Practical experience applying APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Engineering-related qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree) or 4-years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
