Quality Engineer

Pro-Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of our client based in Gloucester. The position is full time, permanent. Salary: 45,000. Working hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:00 and Friday 07:30-13:00. Key Responsibilities Plan and conduct internal and external audits to industry standards. Partner with Engineering and Production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with customer specifications. Support New Product Introduction using APQP frameworks to identify risks and establish robust inspection methods. Coordinate and approve PPAP packages, including initial sample inspections and run-at-rate validations. Develop, review, and maintain DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans throughout the product lifecycle. Analyse quality data using SPC to monitor process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate recurring defects. Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D methodologies and Lean tools to prevent repeat issues. Experience Proven experience conducting internal and external (supplier) audits. Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards (essential). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Practical experience applying APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. Engineering-related qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree) or 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer. ..... full job details .....
