Role Overview – Quality Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury, on a permanent basis.

Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of complex mechanical products supplying the global aerospace and defence sectors.

This position has a strong focus on APQP and PPAP, therefore proven experience within these areas is essential.

Key Responsibilities – Quality Engineer

• Support the integration and implementation of APQP within the NPI process
• Support advanced quality planning activities
• Ensure customer quality requirements are incorporated into NPI processes
• Capture and integrate lessons learned into APQP activities
• Coordinate, manage and monitor PPAP activities
• Identify and implement improvements within manufacturing processes
• Support cross-functional teams with non-conformances and corrective actions
• Support external compliance and customer audits
• Close out corrective actions raised during audit activities

Skills & Experience – Quality Engineer

• Proven experience in APQP and PPAP application
• Experience working within an AS9100 certified environment
• Knowledge and practical application of PFMEA
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Strong communication skills, both internal and external
