Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Location: ReadingContract: 12 MonthsRate: 45.00 per hour (Umbrella) The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support the delivery of a major engineering project based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with experience across the Civil Nuclear and Defence sectors. You will be responsible for coordinating quality activities throughout the full project lifecycle, supporting delivery from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and final handover. Working closely with Quality Leads, construction teams, suppliers and key stakeholders, you will ensure that project activities meet the required quality standards and client expectations. Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with construction teams to ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are developed, maintained and compliant with project requirements.Compile and maintain Lifetime Records alongside construction activities.Communicate quality and documentation requirements effectively to suppliers.Manage supply chain quality, including supplier assessments, audits and ongoing performance monitoring.Manage defects, non-conformances and improvement notices, supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement.Produce and maintain quality documentation, including ITPs, Project Quality Plans, procedures and work instructions.Oversee quality planning associated with manufacturing and on-site installation activities.Conduct internal and ..... full job details .....
