Overview:
Our client, a well-established manufacturer operating in a regulated sector, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and associated quality assurance activities. This position offers the chance to join a fast-paced team focused on delivering high standards throughout the product development cycle.
Key Responsibilities for The Quality Engineer (NPI):

Lead and support NPI quality processes, ensuring that product and process requirements are fully met from concept through to production

Prepare and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, and APQP documentation in line with project timelines

Oversee the creation and validation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)

Ensure compliance with health and safety practices, including the consistent application of 5S methodologies

Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders, demonstrating a high level of professionalism in both written and verbal communication

Manage multiple projects in a high-demand environment, ensuring that tasks are completed to deadline and specification
Candidate Requirements from The Quality Engineer (NPI):

Proven background in a Quality Engineering role within a highly regulated industry (preferably aerospace, medical, or automotive)

Strong working knowledge of APQP, FAIRs, PFMEA, and quality management systems

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of a business

Confident in reading and understanding engineering documentation and drawings

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

Able to plan, organise, and prioritise workload effectively under pressure
Desirable Skills from The Quality Engineer (NPI):

Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing and/or assembly processes is beneficial
