Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer - Manage manufacturing quality, non-conformances and customer complaints using 8D / 5 Whys. Interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings, including GD&T, and determine appropriate inspection methods. Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal manufacturing teams on quality issues. Produce inspection reports, quality documentation and control plans. Conduct internal, process and supplier audits. Support calibration and management of measurement and test equipment. Train operators in inspection techniques and equipment. Identify and implement improvements to quality and inspection processes. Key requirements from the Quality Engineer - 5+ years' experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role. Mechanical engineering background/apprenticeship. Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Experience with measurement equipment and producing inspection reports.... Permanent
