Quality Engineer

Our client, operating within the Defence and Security and Aerospace sectors, is seeking a contract Quality Engineer to join their team in Glenrothes. This Fixed-Term Contract position involves supporting high-profile programmes, requiring effective teamwork to achieve quality standards in a complex engineering environment.Key Responsibilities:Performing First Article Inspections (FAIRs), preferably to AS9102 standardsInvestigating defects to identify and address root causesMaintaining quality records (QPulse)Monitoring and reporting the status of assigned programmes or areas of responsibilityCommunicating with programme and functional areas to support business goalsConducting Quality Audits (product/product release/process)Supporting external accreditation audits and understanding regulatory requirements (AS9100 and ISO 9001)Ensuring customer contractual requirements and external regulations are adhered toClosing Audit NC''s/RCCA/customer complaints and promoting Continual ImprovementJob Requirements:Essential Candidate Qualities:A self-starting and confident team player who works well with others and inspires themExperience and knowledge of FAIRs to AS9102 Standards, including documentation and reportingBackground in Quality Engineering with knowledge of electronics and/or mechanical assemblies, and technical drawingsAbility to establish and nurture productive relationships internally and externallyFamiliarity with Quality Standards AS9100 and ISO9001Ability to work ..... full job details .....
