Quality Engineer

A well-respected Manufacturing company with multiple sites in the UK are looking for a highly experienced Quality Engineer on a new 6-month contract, which is highly likely to extend. The company work at the forefront of their industry and have recently won awards for their growth and pioneering engineering.Shop Floor and Department OrganisationMonitor shop floor layout and organisation of Quality department areas in conjunction with the QC and Assembly Team.Ensure layouts are optimised for efficiency across all work streams.Quality Management and ControlLead 8D activities and manage customer complaints through to resolution.Conduct investigations using microtome and microscope, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.Lead the Product Audit function within the Quality Control Department.Oversee hold areas and stock control of non-conforming products from internal sources, suppliers, and returns.Ensure all products comply with performance specifications and meet 100% usability requirements.Continuous Improvement and ProjectsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across QC and Assembly.Manage planned and unplanned projects for new product development.Actively support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activitiesControl Plan and FMEA attendance/submissionAudits and ComplianceUndertake internal and external audits in line with business accreditations.Ensure compliance with quality management systems, health and safety, environmental policies, legal requirements, ..... full job details .....
