Quality Engineer

Job Description: To lead day-to-day quality activities at Burnaston, ensuring product and process conformity, effective customer protection and continual improvement of quality performance. The role provides technical quality leadership to the plant and manages the Quality Technician resource. The Quality Engineer / Specialist shall: Act as the principal plant contact for customer quality matters. Lead investigation and resolution of internal and customer quality concerns. Ensure effective containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action and verification of effectiveness. Monitor customer complaints, PPM, scrap, internal defects and other quality KPIs. Provide quality engineering support to Production and Manufacturing Engineering. Ensure suspect and nonconforming product is effectively controlled and escalated. Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA and engineering change activities. Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, applicable Customer Specific Requirements and Toyota requirements. Support internal, customer and certification audits and associated corrective actions. Identify recurring issues and lead improvement activities to prevent recurrence. Ensure relevant quality documentation and controls remain current and effective.
