Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Location: North Kent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Type: Permanent Shift: Shift work The Opportunity A well-established precision engineering business in North Kent is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in metrology to join its quality team. This is a hands-on role focused on measurement systems, inspection and quality analysis. You will be responsible for inspection planning, quality records and measurement activities while working closely with manufacturing teams to improve repeatability, reliability and quality. The role would suit someone with a strong understanding of quality engineering and metrology who is comfortable working with engineering drawings, tolerances and inspection equipment. Experience with CMM and optical measurement systems would be particularly beneficial. What You''ll Be Doing Maintain detailed records relating to Inspection Plans, ISIRs and FAIRs Develop measurement policies aimed at reducing scrap within the machine shop Participate in product design reviews to promote repeatability and reliability Conduct capability studies and gauge RandR as required Use a range of metrology equipment across both imperial and metric measurements Interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing tolerances Maintain accurate and detailed quality records Support quality requirements across the manufacturing environment Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical ..... full job details .....
