Quality Engineer

Owen Daniels are a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Redditch who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career progression within a dynamic and forward-thinking company supplying into the Aerospace and Automotive sectors.

This role would suit a hands-on Quality professional with experience across APQP, 8D problem solving, 5 Why, PPAP, and root cause analysis, who is confident on the shop floor and has worked to 9001 standard.

The Role:

• Supporting Quality activities across Aerospace and Automotive projects
• Leading and participating in problem-solving activities (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.)
• Liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve quality concerns
• Reviewing and updating control plans, FMEAs, and standard operating procedures
• Supporting internal and external audits (AS9100, IATF 16949)
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions
• Generating and reviewing PPAP and FAIR documentation
• Driving continuous improvement and supporting the Quality Manager

-The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in Aerospace and/or Automotive sectors
• Strong understanding of ISO9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949
• Practical experience with 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, and PPAP
• Confident in a hands-on, shop-floor-focused environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and use measurement equipment
