Overview
A leading manufacturer of flight-critical, complex machined components is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer. The role focuses on maintaining the highest quality standards across precision manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans and inspection strategies for new and existing products.
- Interpret and integrate quality requirements into manufacturing processes and documentation.
- Conduct capability assessments, process validations, and inspections.
- Analyse non-conformance trends and lead corrective action activities.
- Perform audits, testing, and benchmarking to verify process capability.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain quality documentation, reports, and control plans.
- Provide training on quality standards and best practices.
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years'' experience in quality engineering within manufacturing.
- Knowledge of 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D, APQP, FMEA, Lean principles.
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with measurement and inspection tools, including CMM.
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in precision manufacturing.
- Data collection and analysis skills.
- Knowledge of calibration systems and gauge control.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Auditor certification.
