Quality Engineer

An Inside IR35 freelance opportunity exists for an experienced Quality Engineer on an iconic civil engineering/rail construction project in West Yorkshire. Previous Civil Engineering Construction monitoring would be preferred. 

Duties include

• Oversee and manage quality processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct internal audits and site surveillance to monitor quality across projects.
• Utilize BIM360 for effective project management and quality control.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 standards, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
• Provide training and guidance on quality standards and auditing processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to enhance quality.

Requirements for this project include

• Preferably IRCA accredited, with a strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
• Proficient in BIM360 and IT literate, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Preferably affiliated to CQI
• Extensive experience in internal auditing and quality assurance.
• Preferably competent in conducting site and construction surveillance. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
