Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Required ASAP Gloucester. Up to -30/hour. Immediate Start Available.

Our client based in Gloucester have the following role available as detailed below:

Role: Quality Engineer

Location: Gloucester

Rate: Up to -30/hour (negotiable depending on previous experience)

Duration: Long-term, could lead to permanent work for the right candidates

The role will entail:

1. Roaming and end of line inspection.
2. Compiling quality reports based on shop floor metrics.
3. Interpreting drawings and identifying critical dimensions
4. Using a broad range of measuring instruments to monitor dimensional compliance.
5. Basic wiring checks e.g. strain relief and correct labelling
6. Creating a quarantine area and raising quarantine notes
7. Ensure batch traceability is preserved through all operations.
8. Maintaining our QMS, and making change recommendations

Requirements

• A proven track record of shop floor quality supervision (essential). 3-5 years minimum experience
• An understanding of ISO 9001/2, with a view to future implementation
• Knowledge of documentation control and change management
• Experience in implementing Shewhart charts and determining the CpK
• Exposure to Gauge R&R / ANOVA (desirable)
• A relevant certificate or diploma in Quality management or similar (desirable)
